Ashley Hay has a diverse work experience including roles at APCO Worldwide, the University of Washington Bothell, and the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. At APCO Worldwide, Ashley started as a Research Intern in June 2021 and was promoted to Research Assistant in September 2021. Currently, Ashley holds the position of Research Analyst starting in September 2022. At the University of Washington Bothell, Ashley worked as a Teacher Assistant/Grader in the STEM field from January 2020 to June 2020. Prior to that, Ashley spent over 12 years at the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services as an Attendant Counselor. In this role, Ashley focused on providing a safe and healthy community for residents and their families, collaborating with various departments and stakeholders, documenting daily activities and results, advocating for residents, and working closely with program coordinators, psychologists, and doctors.
Ashley Hay completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Computing, concentrating in Human-Computer Interaction, from the University of Washington. Ashley attended the University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts - AA degree from Edmonds College, where they studied from 2015 to 2018. Ashley Hay has also pursued additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ashley obtained certifications such as "Stay Competitive Using Design Thinking" and "Advance Your Skills as a User Experience Researcher" from LinkedIn in 2021 and 2020, respectively. Furthermore, they obtained certifications from BHBIA, including "Adverse Event Reporting in Market Research" in 2022 and "Legal and Ethical Guidelines for Data Analysts" in 2022. Ashley also obtained the certification "Human Subjects Research – Social-Behavioral-Educational (SBE) Foundations" in 2021 from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY.
