Etienne Houseknecht has a diverse and extensive work experience in marketing and brand management roles.
Starting in 2005, Etienne worked as the Global Marketing & Commercial Director for Pernod Ricard, overseeing the marketing and commercial activities for brands such as Malibu, Kahlúa, and Tia Maria across the Americas. Etienne focused on rebuilding and relaunching Kahlúa in the US and premiumizing the brand in Canada and Mexico.
In 2008, Etienne founded Brand House Marketing LLC, a marketing consulting firm that provided brand-building services to various companies, including Herff Jones and other SMBs. Etienne developed a disciplined and agnostic approach to help clients navigate the multicultural landscape.
After Brand House Marketing, Etienne served as the Director of International Marketing at Monster Energy from 2013 to 2015. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing marketing strategies and tactics for 44 countries in Latin America, supporting the brand's lifestyle initiatives.
From 2015 to 2016, Etienne worked as the Marketing Director for Small Town Brewery at Pabst Brewing Company. Etienne played a crucial role in the growth of Not Your Father's Root Beer, transforming it into a lifestyle brand and achieving record profitability for Small Town Brewery in the US and Canada.
Etienne then served as the VP of Marketing at GT's Kombucha in 2016, where they led marketing efforts for the company's portfolio of products across the US and Canada. Etienne focused on digital, social, public relations, and event activations to promote the brand.
In 2017, Etienne became the Head of Marketing for Dacor, leading all marketing efforts for Samsung's Luxury Division after Dacor's acquisition. Etienne built a strong internal marketing team and collaborated with top agencies to reposition Dacor as a contender in the luxury appliance market.
Etienne's most recent roles include being the VP of Marketing at Nutrabolt from 2020 to 2022, where they served as the interim VP of Marketing, leading the development and repositioning of C4 Energy. Etienne also worked as a Strategic Advisor for Xicamaâ„¢, and currently works as an Advisor for REI.
Throughout their career, Etienne has demonstrated expertise in developing omni-channel strategies, leading multicultural marketing initiatives, building passionate marketing teams, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
