Alexa Araneta has held various roles in the tech and non-profit sectors since 2004. In 2004, they served as an Office Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley's Institute of European Studies. From 2009 to 2016, they were an Administrative Assistant at the Behavioral Intervention Association (BIA). In 2016, they joined Splunk as a Product Marketing Manager I, Security. During their time at Splunk, they also co-founded and co-chaired the Pilipinx Employee Resource Group and acted as a strategic advisor to the current ERG leadership team. In 2022, they transitioned to Anvilogic as a Senior Product Marketing Manager.
Alexa Araneta has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained between 2004 and 2008. Alexa also holds four additional certifications: Accelerating B2B Marketing from Forrester, obtained in May 2022; PMC Level III from Pragmatic Institute (Pragmatic Marketing + TDI), obtained in October 2017; Splunk 6.x Certified Power User from Splunk, obtained in September 2016; and GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) from GIAC Certifications, obtained in September 2019.
