Patricia Downing currently serves as Vice President of DMC at Grupo Antofagasta Minerals, focusing on the Centinela asset since November 2023. Previously, Downing was the Deputy Project Director at Bechtel Mining & Metals for the Thacker Pass Li project, overseeing engineering and operational readiness from October 2021 to October 2023. Downing's extensive experience includes roles such as Operations Manager and Copper Center of Excellence Manager at MMG Las Bambas, where responsibilities encompassed near mine exploration and project delivery. At BHP, Downing held the position of Director of Technical and Development Studies, managing project studies in the Americas portfolio. Additional leadership roles include Project Director for the Quellaveco Project at Anglo American and Program Director at BHP Billiton.
