Sheer El Showk is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both research and technical leadership roles. Current positions include Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic since December 2021, CTO at Lore Ai since October 2018, and Founder & President of Nascent Ai since January 2019. Previously, Sheer served as a Senior Software Engineer at Coiled and held postdoctoral research fellowships at CERN and the CEA, where achievements included the development of innovative numerical methods for studying critical phenomena. At LPTHE (Sorbonne, UPMC), contributions to research on the conformal bootstrap led to the publication of a significantly improved study method. Sheer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Math from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Amsterdam.
