Matt Murphy is a seasoned venture capital partner at Menlo Ventures, where the focus is on investing in modern AI technologies and applications since June 2015. In addition to this role, Matt serves as a board observer at Anthropic, contributing insights to a leading LLM founded by the creators of ChatGPT, and at Benchling, which enhances life sciences R&D. Board memberships include Harness, the first AI-driven Software Delivery Platform; Carta, specializing in SaaS ownership management; Cleanlab, focused on data curation for LLMs; Egnyte, an enterprise file-sharing service; Observable, which simplifies data visualizations; Airbase, a spend management platform; and Vivun, an AI-powered pre-sales tool. Matt holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
