Michael Montenari serves as the Editor-in-Chief for Elsevier, specializing in Earth Sciences with a focus on Stratigraphy and Timescales. Montenari has edited several significant volumes, including "Stratigraphy of Geo- and Biodynamic Processes" (2023) and "Integrated Quaternary Stratigraphy" (2022). Additionally, Montenari holds positions as an international member of the Peer Review College at the French National Research Agency, a member of the Peer Review Panel at the Swiss National Science Foundation, Chief Advisor for Stratigraphy and Global Correlation at Total, and Lecturer in Palaeontology and Stratigraphy at Keele University. Montenari has an extensive background in Earth sciences research, with previous roles at Tübingen University, Total, and Elf Aquitaine, complemented by advanced degrees including a Higher Doctorate from the University of Tübingen and a PhD from the University of Freiburg.
