Juan Ignacio Barrasa López has extensive work experience in the field of research. JUAN IGNACIO began their career in 2007 as a PhD Student at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at FUNDACIÓN JIMENEZ DIAZ. During this time, they also worked at Umeå University as a Senior Research Assistant, First Research Assistant, and Postdoctoral Researcher. In 2021, Juan Ignacio began working at Anocca AB as Head of DNA Core and Senior Scientist.

Juan Ignacio Barrasa López has a long education history, beginning in 1998 with a Licentiate degree in Biology, Genetics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 2003, they earned a Licentiate degree in Biochemistry from the same university. JUAN IGNACIO then went on to earn a Master's degree in Biología from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2011, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2012.
