Akil Joseph, Ph.D., is a seasoned chemist with extensive experience in analytical research and development. Currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at ANGUS Chemical Company since September 2020, Akil previously held the position of Analytical Chemist II at Intertek, where expertise in UPLC LC-MS/MS and HPLC-UV analysis was utilized for various products including functional foods and pharmaceuticals. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on the metabolism of curcumin and its analogs, and a graduate research assistantship at Georgetown University, which culminated in a Ph.D. in Chemistry. Education also includes a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus.
