Colin Heinen has extensive work experience in the IT field. Colin began their career as a Computer Technician at East Coast Services, where they fixed, repaired, and built computer systems. In 2008, they joined Archant as a Service Desk Analyst, providing first-line support for software and hardware issues. Colin later became a Team Leader on the Service Desk, managing a team of 5 and ensuring that KPIs were met. Colin then took on the role of Applications/Web Support Analyst, where they provided 3rd line support and implemented system monitoring. Their most recent role was as a Solutions Architect, responsible for planning, building, and developing new systems and integrations at Archant. In this role, they also managed the underlying infrastructure and helped redevelop solutions for cloud services and infrastructure. Colin is currently working as the Head of IT at Angling Direct PLC.

Colin Heinen completed their secondary education at Hobart High School in Loddon in 2004, where they obtained their GCSE degree. Colin then pursued further studies in Information Technology, first at Norwich City College from an unspecified start year until 2006, and later at Lowestoft College until 2007.
