Brad Kern is an experienced operating partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where employment has been since March 2015. Prior to this role, Brad served as Senior Vice President of Business Development, Channels, Alliances, and OEMs at Informatica from November 2012 to March 2015. Additional experience includes holding the position of Vice President for Corporate Development, Strategy, and Alliances at BMC Software from January to November 2012, and Vice President of Worldwide Business Development at Hewlett-Packard from February 2008 to December 2011, following the acquisition of Opsware, where Brad was VP of Strategic Alliances prior to the acquisition. Earlier roles include Managing Director of Business Development at Egenera from June 2003 to May 2007 and VP of Business Development at Mi8 Corporation from January 2000 to May 2003. Educational credentials include an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a degree from the University of Arizona.
