Lacia Gorman

8th Special Ed English Teacher at Anderson Community Schools

Lacia Gorman has a diverse work experience history. Lacia started their career in 2012 as a School Mentor at Huntley Middle School. In 2014, they worked as an America Reads Tutor at Jerry L. Johns Literacy Clinic, where they delivered reading and writing instruction to students from kindergarten to fifth grade. In 2016, Lacia joined Anderson Community Schools as an 8th Special Ed English Teacher. Lacia then transitioned to Fort Wayne Community Schools in 2018, where they currently work as a Creative Writing Teacher. Additionally, from 2011 to 2013, Lacia was a Youth Basketball Coach at Amateur Sports Academy.

Lacia Gorman pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Disorders from Northern Illinois University from 2012 to 2015. Following this, they completed a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the same university from 2015 to 2016. Lastly, they attended Anderson University from 2016 to 2017 to obtain a Transition to Teaching degree in Elementary Education and Teaching.
