Nariman Banaei, Ph.D., serves as a Senior Scientist and Lab Operations Manager at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. since December 2020, leading a group focused on bioanalytical ligand-binding method development and validation for assessing pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and immunogenicity of biotherapeutics in compliance with FDA guidelines. Previous roles include Scientist II and Scientist at Sorrento Therapeutics, where Nariman conducted PK modeling and developed large molecule bioanalytical assays. Prior experience as a Senior Scientist at Intertek involved developing ELISA and ECL-based assay methods under GLP and FDA standards. Nariman also contributed to innovative medical devices as a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, focusing on early cancer diagnosis through a SERS-based immunoassay detection approach. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, along with master's and bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Guilan University and Imam Khomeini International University, respectively.
