Kevin George

Director, Automated Strain Engineering at Amyris

Kevin George has worked for several companies over the past 18 years. Kevin began as an Undergraduate Researcher at Rutgers University in 2002. Kevin then went on to pursue their PhD at Cornell University, where they were a PhD candidate from 2006 to 2010. After that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Joint BioEnergy Institute from 2010 to 2014, where they worked on metabolic engineering of E. coli to synthesize advanced biofuels. In 2014, they joined Amyris, where they have held several roles, including Scientist II and III in Biology, Associate Director of Biology, Head of Automated Strain Engineering, and Director of Automated Strain Engineering.

Kevin George obtained a B.S. in Biochemistry from Rutgers University\u2013New Brunswick in 2006, following a four-year program beginning in 2002. Kevin then pursued a Ph.D in Environmental Toxicology from Cornell University, which they completed in 2010.
