Chris van Koppen has extensive experience in the cultural and educational sectors, currently serving as chairman of the Stages Committee at Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst since January 2024 and as chairman of the supervisory board at Erfgoedhuis Zuid-Holland since June 2021. Previously, Chris held roles such as interim head of education at Factorium Cultuurmakers and CEO at Kunstloc Brabant. As the owner of Sjaalman Media, Chris published the magazine GRNVLD, emphasizing the connection between urban and rural communities. Other significant positions include president of Raad van Twaalf and a long tenure on the supervisory board of St. Michaël College.
