Sylvain Grossmann currently serves as a Product Designer and Staff Engineer in Research & Development for Optical Sensor Solutions at ams OSRAM, focusing on the design of 3D sensing and imaging products for mass production. With extensive experience since 2017 in similar roles at ams AG and Heptagon, Sylvain has contributed to notable projects including multi-zone time-of-flight sensors and low-cost illuminators. Prior experience includes a position as an R&D Engineer at CSEM, where responsibilities encompassed product and process development for microsystems, along with roles at Maxon Motor AG, X-Rite, and EPFL, focused on engineering and production process optimization. Sylvain holds an engineering degree in microtechnics from HEIG-VD and a certificate of capacity in electromechanics from ABB.
