Jim Abel currently serves as the Chairman of the Board at Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation, a position held since May 2019. Previously, Jim Abel was President and CEO of CPI Corp., Inc. from February 2012 to May 2013, and also held the role of President and CEO at Financial Executives International from May 2008 to February 2009. Between 1990 and 2007, Jim Abel worked at Lamson & Sessions as Executive Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Chief Financial Officer, while concurrently serving as EVP and CFO at Carlon during the same period. Earlier in their career, Jim Abel was Senior Vice President and CFO at Gibson Homans Co. from May 1985 to May 1990. Jim Abel earned a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Marketing from St. John's University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management, Economics, and Finance from Purdue University.
