Jennifer Smith serves as the Regional Director of Workforce Development and Entrepreneurship and Technical Advisor at Amideast, starting in April 2022, focusing on workforce development and entrepreneurship programs in the MENA region. As the Owner and General Manager of Dar Roumana Maison d'Hotes since May 2002, Jennifer successfully restored a historic property in Fez, which has gained recognition in prominent international publications. Previously, Jennifer held several leadership roles, including Country Director at AMIDEAST, Country Manager at Emerging Markets Consulting, and Country Coordinator of TVET social businesses at Friends-International. Jennifer's early career included positions as a Private Chef, Associate at Standard Chartered Bank, Credit Analyst at Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, and a Trading Floor Assistant at Merrill Lynch. Education includes a Master of Arts in International Relations & Diplomacy from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Area Studies: Middle East from Duke University.
