Theresa Ronquillo, PhD, MSW, currently serves as the Associate Director and Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences Specialist at Amherst College since July 2022. As the founder and facilitator of Embody Change, LLC, established in January 2020, Ronquillo collaborates with educators and organizations to promote connection and creativity through arts-based approaches. Previous roles include Affiliate Faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University, where Ronquillo designed a Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Certificate course, and Assistant Director at the VCU Center for Teaching & Learning Excellence, enhancing faculty and student success. Additional experience includes co-founding the Theater for Change program at the University of Washington, serving as a lecturer in the School of Social Work, and contributing to inclusive educational initiatives throughout an academic career spanning over a decade. Ronquillo holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Washington, an MSW from the University of Chicago, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
