Donald Dye has more than 20 years’ international experience and expertise in financial risk management, capital markets, board governance, and private equity venture capital. Mr. Dye currently serves as Chairman of Sky Lake Partners LLC, a real estate private equity fund. Previously he held Managing Director positions at the Royal Bank of Canada and Morgan Stanley, and was Executive Director at Swiss Bank Corp. and Vice President at Citicorp Investment Bank.
Mr. Dye’s early career included roles at the State Department in Washington, DC, Ciba-Geigy (Novartis) in Switzerland and China, and Baxter Travenol. He has extensive international experience and has held multiple roles in Switzerland, China and Brazil, and is proficient in German, Portuguese and Mandarin. He is certified in Sarbanes Oxley, artificial intelligence (MIT), and cybersecurity (Harvard), as well as immunology, genetics and CRISPR/CAR T (Harvard Medical School).
Formerly, Mr. Dye had a parallel career in the field of sports consulting and management. From 2010 to 2015, he was one of three owners of Kheiron Professional Sports Management Ltd., a British firm that offered career management services to professional soccer players. From 2008 to 2010, he owned JDS Global/ProInvest, a sports consulting firm with offices in London, New York, and Warsaw, that managed the careers and investments of soccer professionals.
Mr. Dye received a BA in Economics from Occidental College and an MBA in Finance from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
Mr. Dye has raised funds for a number of HIV/AIDS organizations over the years. As part of Team Kheiron, he and a group of cyclists participated in events such as the 2011 AIDS/LifeCycle Ride in California, where the team raised over $60,000. He is a supporter of AID for AIDS, an international nonprofit that provides services and education to people with HIV/AIDS. In 2008, he established the Give Me a Break Foundation, which makes grants to families living with disabled children.
