Joseph Young is a seasoned professional in the welding industry with extensive experience in education and workforce development. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Workforce Development at the American Welding Society since May 2018, Joseph is focused on promoting career opportunities in welding through project management initiatives. As a Founding Partner at Kady Farms since December 2018, Joseph oversees operations, logistics, and customer relations for a nursery specializing in unique and rare plants. Previously, Joseph held faculty positions at Gillette College and Washtenaw Community College, where responsibilities included instructing welding students and developing curriculum. Joseph's hands-on experience also includes roles as a Welder/Fabricator at Bosal and a Fabricator/ASME Vessel Welder at Refrigeration Research Inc. Joseph holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Management from Eastern Michigan University and an Associate’s Degree in Welding Technology from Washtenaw Community College.
