Debbie Albrecht is the Vice President and Chief Rates & Regulatory Counsel at American Water, a position held since March 2013, where responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive national and multi-jurisdictional rate and regulatory strategies. Previously, Debbie served as Vice President & Managing General Counsel for American Water's Eastern Division, providing a wide range of legal support and strategic guidance across multiple business facets. Earlier roles included Senior Regulatory Counsel and Vice President - Legal & Secretary, focusing on public utility regulation and managing litigation and risk. Prior experience includes working as an Associate at Murtha Cullina LLP, representing water utilities and energy suppliers in regulatory matters, and as a Law Clerk at Northeast Utilities, where Debbie conducted legal research across various law areas. Debbie holds a J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law and a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in English from Quinnipiac University.
