Erdal Tekin

Fotis Family Distinguished Professor at American University

Erdal Tekin is a Professor at American University since August 2014, where Erdal holds the distinction of Fotis Family Distinguished Professor. In addition to this role, Tekin serves as the Editor in Chief for the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management since July 2018 and is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research since October 2002. Tekin has also been a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor - IZA since March 2001 and was previously a Professor at Georgia State University from August 2001 to July 2014. Tekin earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where studies were completed from 1996 to 2001, a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado Denver from 1994 to 1996, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University from 1990 to 1994. Prior educational background includes a high school diploma from Bornova Anadolu Lisesi (Ä°zmir Koleji).
