Matthew Wales, CMP, CAE, is an accomplished association executive with extensive experience in strategic and operational planning. Currently serving as Vice President of Event Services at American Trucking Associations since August 2022, Matthew has a robust background in marketing, communications, policy, sales and revenue expansion, member services, financial supervision, and administration. Prior to this role, Matthew held multiple positions at the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education from August 2006 to August 2022, including Vice President of Member Services & Events and Senior Director of Meetings, Events, & Special Projects. Earlier experience included roles at Educational Research Service and Washington Workshops Foundation. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, German, and Secondary Education from Wabash College.
