Sara Skarshaug, OTD, MS, OTR, currently serves as an Occupational Therapist at American Senior Communities since October 2022. Previously, Sara held the position of Volunteer Coordinator with the Student Occupational Therapy Association from May 2020 to May 2021 and managed Milk and Honey Cafe and Creamery from May 2016 to December 2019. Other notable experiences include serving as Secretary for Psi Chi The International Honor Society in Psychology, interning with AccessAbilities, Inc., volunteering at Grand Traverse Pavilions, and coaching figure skating. Sara's educational background includes a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and a Master of Science in Gerontology, both from the University of Indianapolis, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with concentrations in Pre-Occupational Therapy and Aging Studies.
