Alyson S. has a diverse work experience in various fields. Alyson began their career as a Library Assistant at Florida State University in 2010. Alyson then worked at the World Food Programme as a Human Resources Assistant and later as a Public Information Assistant. In 2011, they joined UNICEF as a Human Resources Assistant. In 2012, they briefly worked as a Teaching Assistant at Magen David Academy. From 2012 to 2013, they served as an Operations & Customer Service Representative at the American Psychiatric Association. Alyson then took on roles of increasing responsibility within the same organization, including Marketing Associate, Digital Content Manager, Digital Platform Manager, and Senior Manager of Digital Platform Development. As of 2022, they are currently serving as the Associate Director of Digital Publishing Operations at the American Psychiatric Association.
Alyson S. has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs from Florida State University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, they have completed the following educational programs: a Software Engineering Certificate in Full Stack Web Development from the Firehose Project from 2016 to 2017, a Nanodegree in Marketing Analytics from Udacity in 2019, a Nanodegree in Product Management from Udacity in 2020, and a Nanodegree in Data Analyst from Udacity from 2020 to 2021. Recently, in 2022, they obtained a Google Project Management: Professional Certificate from Coursera. Alyson S. also holds several additional certifications, including Scrum: Advanced and Scrum: The Basics from LinkedIn in 2019, the Grow with Google Challenge Scholarship for Front-End Web Development from Udacity in 2018, and The Complete JavaScript Course from Udemy in 2018. Lastly, they obtained the certification for Learning Functional Programming with JavaScript from LinkedIn in 2017.
