Adrienne Heim

Adrienne Heim, AICP has a diverse work experience in transportation planning and public outreach. Adrienne began their career in 2004 as a Research and Administrative Intern at the Center for Environmental Health. Adrienne then worked as an AC Transit All Nighter Bus Service Intern, where they managed outreach initiatives and expanded brand exposure. Adrienne also gained experience as an Office Manager at GroundWork Open Source, where they developed proposals and policies to improve travel expenses. Adrienne furthered their transportation planning career at the Transbay Joint Powers Authority as a Citizens Advisory Committee Member. In 2009, Adrienne joined Nelson Nygaard Consulting Associates as a Transportation Planning Intern, conducting research and evaluations for various projects. Adrienne continued to pursue their passion for transportation planning as a Transportation Planning Intern at Urban Habitat, where they facilitated workshops and analyzed financial subsidies. From 2011 to 2012, Adrienne worked as a Project Coordinator at TransAct, assisting with creating a transit-oriented district strategy. Adrienne then served as a Customer Engagement and Relations Assistant at the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, managing community-based campaigns and assisting with marketing initiatives. Most recently, Adrienne has been employed at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) since 2014, where they have held various roles such as Transportation Planner III and II. Adrienne has also served as a Public Information Officer, developing and executing community outreach programs and managing stakeholder relationships. Adrienne is currently the Co-Director of Diversity for the California Northern chapter of the American Planning Association.

Adrienne Heim, AICP obtained a Master's in Urban Planning (MUP) from San Jose State University. Prior to that, they received certification in GIS, ESRI Arcview 9.2 from City College of San Francisco. Adrienne also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from San Francisco State University. There is no information provided regarding the completion of a degree in Economics from Louisiana State University. In addition to their educational background, Adrienne Heim has obtained certifications as an AICP Certified planner from the American Institute of Certified Planners in December 2022 and as a Coro Women in Leadership from Coro Northern California in May 2018.
