Cynthia Barraza Monroy M.Ed. is a highly experienced education professional currently serving as the School Quality Manager for the American Montessori Society since July 2022. Prior to this role, Cynthia was the Head of School at Discovery Garden Montessori School from August 2011 to July 2022, where a foundation for the school was established and various teaching roles were undertaken, including Elementary and Early Childhood Guide. Previous experience includes positions as a Behavioral Technician at Lakeland Regional Hospital, Elementary Lead Teacher at Communidad Montessori San Pablo and Montessori in the Orchard, and work in case management with the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services. Cynthia holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, a certification in Early Childhood Education from Hope Montessori Educational Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UTEP, along with an Associate’s degree in Elementary Montessori Education from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
