Richard Clark has a significant amount of work experience in the field of meteorology. Currently, they serve as the President of the American Meteorological Society. Previously, they held various positions at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, including President-elect of the American Meteorological Society and Chair of the Department of Earth Sciences. Richard also served as a program coordinator for different programs and was a professor of meteorology.

Richard Clark completed their education from 1983 to 1987 at the University of Wyoming. During this time, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree with a specialization in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology.
