Ben Shlesinger is an experienced professional in government relations and public affairs, currently serving as the Associate Director of Government Relations at the American Kidney Fund since April 2016. Prior roles include Public Affairs Manager at the Truck Safety Coalition, where legislative agendas were developed and executed, and multiple positions at Van Hollen for Congress, including Field Director/Social Media Manager during the 2014 reelection campaign. Previously, Ben worked as Assistant Director for Policy and Government Affairs at AIPAC, specializing in U.S.-Israel defense cooperation, and held editorial positions at USAE News and The Montgomery Gazette, with a strong focus on journalism and communications. Ben holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maryland, complementing a foundational education at American University and Walter Johnson High School.
