Bobby Lapin is a founder of Lapin & Landa, L.L.P., a civil trial firm in Houston, Texas, where he specializes in commercial litigation, personal injury and wrongful death, securities arbitration, employment law, and product liability. At AJC, Bobby serves as Chair of the Board of Governors and is on the Executive Council. Previously he served as Chair of the Contemporary Jewish Life Commission, Chair of AJC’s National Legal Committee, and President of AJC Houston. Bobby has also served as President of the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston, President of the Board of Trustees of the Emery/Weiner School, President of Congregation Beth Israel, and Board Chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. He was presented with the David H. White Distinguished Leadership Award by the Houston Jewish community in 2010 and the Joy of Education Award by the Emery/Weiner School in 2011. Bobby also serves in a volunteer capacity as Development Director and Counsel for the Stop ALD Foundation, which raises money to fight adrenoleukodystrophy. Bobby holds a B.A. with honors in English literature from Stanford University (Phi Beta Kappa) and a law degree from the University of Texas Law School, where he graduated with distinction.
