Billie Jo Day

Billie Jo Day has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and organizations. Billie Jo began their career at Indiana University Bloomington, where they worked as a Student Assistant and later as an Office Manager. In 2005, they joined the University of Miami School of Law as a Program Coordinator. Billie Jo then had a role as a Policy Fellow at the New England Board of Higher Education in 2008. Following this, they served as a Massachusetts Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA at Simmons College in 2009. Billie Jo continued their service as an AmeriCorps*VISTA at the Hawaii and Pacific Islands Campus Compact from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they joined the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration as a Research Assistant and later became a Lecturer. Most recently, they worked as a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research starting in 2017. Throughout their career, Billie Jo has gained extensive experience in research, teaching, program coordination, and office management.

Billie Jo Day's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, which they obtained from Indiana University Bloomington from 1998 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a Master of Education degree in Higher Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2008 to 2009. Finally, they completed their educational journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Social Services Administration from the University of Chicago between 2011 and 2017.
