Manuhuia Barcham is a highly experienced professional in strategic design and academia, currently serving as the Managing Director of Archetekt since October 2015, where the focus is on strategic design and futuring across the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, Manuhuia holds positions as an Associate Professor at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and an Adjunct Professor at the SFU School of Interactive Arts and Technology. As President and Chair of the Board of Directors for AIGA Design, Manuhuia leads the oldest and largest professional membership organization in the design field. Previous roles include Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington, Managing Partner at Synexe Consulting Ltd, and Director of the Centre for Indigenous Governance and Development at Massey University. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Politics and International Relations from The Australian National University, as well as multiple degrees from the University of Oxford and University of Canterbury.
