Ignasi Palou-Rivera has extensive experience in the field of chemical engineering, holding various significant positions since October 2017 at the AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer of the RAPID Manufacturing Institute. Academic contributions include serving as Adjunct Faculty at the Illinois Institute of Technology since January 2022. Previous roles include Senior Process Engineer at LanzaTech, where expertise in techno-economic and life-cycle analyses for renewable fuel processes was applied, and Principal Environmental Engineer at Argonne National Laboratory, focusing on life-cycle analyses for transportation fuels. Early career experience includes positions at bp, Applied Materials, MIT, Hyprotech Europe, and Aspentech UK, where engineering and software development skills were honed. Palou-Rivera holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an Engineer degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
