Araceli Argueta currently serves as the Advocacy and Organizing Director at the American Friends Service Committee since May 2023. Previously, Araceli worked with Social Movement Technologies as the Coordinadora de Apoyo a los Movimientos en América Latina from March 2022 to February 2023, and as a Community Organizer at Unidad Ecológica Salvadoreña from May 2021 to February 2022, focusing on supporting social organizations and indigenous communities in environmental and cultural advocacy. Araceli's experience includes various roles at ActionAid Denmark, where responsibilities included coordinating initiatives for Central America and managing training processes using participatory methodologies. Earlier career involvement included leadership roles in youth project coordination at AJICA-Juxvida and developing socio-environmental projects. Araceli holds a Master's degree in Social Anthropology from Universidade Federal de Roraima and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Universidad de El Salvador.
