Kristin Hoyne Gomes is an experienced leader in decision sciences and risk management, currently serving as Vice President of Accertify Decision Sciences at American Express since November 2021. Previously, Kristin held the position of Director of Decision Sciences at Accertify, where responsibilities included leading a team of statisticians in the development of machine learning models and enhancing risk decisioning capabilities. Kristin's extensive background at American Express also includes roles as Director of Global Fraud Risk Management and Senior Manager of International Fraud Risk Management, focusing on fraud prevention and client education. Additionally, Kristin served as a board member for the Merchant Risk Council, contributing to the direction of the global trade association for eCommerce fraud professionals. Kristin holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from California State University - East Bay and a Bachelor of Science in Business from The University of Kansas.
