Naomi Schaefer Riley

Naomi Schaefer Riley is a Resident Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute since December 2017 and a Columnist for the New York Post since 2012. With extensive experience as a freelance writer for prominent publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, New York Times, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times since 2001, Riley has also held editorial roles, including Deputy Taste Page Editor at The Wall Street Journal from 2005 to 2009 and Editor at In Character: A Journal of Everyday Virtues from 2004 to 2005. Additional positions include Contributing Writer at The American Enterprise and Adjunct Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center from 2001 to 2005, Assistant Editor at Commentary from 1999 to 2001, and Editorial Assistant at National Review from 1998 to 1999. Riley earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Government from Harvard University, where study occurred from 1994 to 1998, and also attended Middlebury College in 1994-1995.
