Laura Peck Friedman serves as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Vice President of Federal Payment Policy at the American Diabetes Association since September 2020. Prior to this role, Laura was a Senior Policy Analyst at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas from 2009 to 2020, where responsibilities included directing regulatory comment development and analyzing the impacts of legislative actions on health policy. Laura also led PAC activities, provided strategic guidance on healthcare legislation, and engaged with members of Congress. Earlier roles included Field Organizer for Obama for America, Account Supervisor at Res Publica Group, and Policy Advisor for the Women's Policy Commission in Illinois. Laura holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
