Ira Pilchen has extensive experience in communications and leadership roles, prominently serving as Senior Presidential Adviser at the American Bar Association since March 1999, where responsibilities include providing strategic counsel for the association president-elect and managing diverse stakeholder issues. Prior positions include Manager of Communications Services, Special Presidential Assistant, and Editor of Student Lawyer magazine, contributing significant expertise in media relations, speechwriting, and editorial management. Ira also held leadership roles at the American Society of Business Publication Editors and has academic experience as an Adjunct Professor of Journalism at Columbia College Chicago. Previous career highlights include directing communications at the American Judicature Society and working as a Customer Service Representative at Full Line Printing. Ira holds a BA in History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and studied at the University of Sussex.
