Brian Thompson has extensive experience in the field of education and training within medical associations. Brian was the Director of Education at the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) from 2016 until the present. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Education and Training at the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) from 2011 to 2016, where they also held the position of Assistant Director of Education and Training. Before that, they worked as the Education Manager at The Society of Thoracic Surgeons from 2008 to 2011, and as the CME Course Coordinator at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons from 2006 to 2008. Throughout their career, Brian has been involved in various aspects of educational program development, planning, and implementation, as well as ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.

Brian Thompson, MBA, FACEHP, attended Sabino High School from 1995 to 1999. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at the University of Arizona from 1999 to 2003. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix from 2004 to 2006.
