Connie Carter is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in operations and clinical practice. As the Executive Director of Operations at Amedisys since August 2019, Connie previously held the role of Director of Operations. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Gentiva Health Services from May 2006 to September 2021, where Connie served as Branch Director, managing overall branch operations, as well as roles in clinical practice management and as a Field Staff RN. Earlier, Connie worked at Amedisys Home Health & Hospice as a Field Staff RN and served in the US Army as a Captain and Air Traffic Controller. Connie also has nursing experience at Duke University Medical Center as a Charge Nurse. Educationally, Connie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University.
