Xiaoyu Miao currently serves as the Head of Health AI at Amazon Health, where leadership focuses on advancing AI systems to improve patient care and clinician workflows. Prior to this role, Miao was a Senior Manager for AWS Applications, spearheading ML-driven audio processing and hybrid meeting solutions. As Strategic Initiative Lead and Entrepreneur in Residence at Grand Challenge, Miao established and grew a cross-functional team dedicated to pursuing innovative projects. Earlier experience includes Head of Engineering and Strategic Initiatives at Playground Global and significant contributions as a Staff Engineer and Tech Lead Manager for the Google Glass project. Xiaoyu Miao holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and a BS in Precision Instruments from Tsinghua University.
