Tim Kern has extensive experience in finance and operations, currently serving as Controller at Amazon since August 2013. Prior to this role, Tim was Associate Director of Operations COE at Zimmer, where Tim managed accounting and inventory control for manufacturing facilities across North America, Ireland, and Puerto Rico. Tim's career at Whirlpool spanned from 1991 to 2011, culminating in roles such as Director of Finance for both the Cost Leadership & SG&A Management and various manufacturing divisions, where Tim led significant financial initiatives and reporting for plants generating over $7B in sales. Tim also has a foundation in audit and mergers & acquisitions, having held several positions related to financial analysis and internal auditing throughout Tim's career. Tim holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Stout.
