Gray Calhoun is a Principal Economist at Amazon, with experience in the SCOT Forecasting and Amazon Private Brands divisions, where contributions include developing machine learning applications for supply chain and sourcing. Gray has played a significant role in launching internal products and collaborating with science and engineering teams to enhance decision-making processes. Prior to Amazon, Gray served as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Iowa State University, teaching econometrics and macroeconomics while focusing research on time series econometrics and forecast evaluation. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Economics and an MS in Statistics from UC San Diego, along with a BA in Mathematics from Tufts University.
