Bill Platt is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in cloud computing and software development. Currently serving as the General Manager of Amazon Web Services since February 2016, Bill is focused on recruiting Software Development Engineers and Software Development Managers to enhance cloud-scale infrastructure and team collaboration. Previous roles include Chief Architect at BMC, General Manager for Web Services at Amazon, Senior Vice President of Operations at EngineYard, and Senior Vice President at NComputing, Inc., among others. Bill's career also features leadership positions at Wyse, Dell, and Sun Microsystems. An alumnus of The Wharton School, Bill holds degrees in Systems Engineering and Economics.
