Kayla Hayempour is a dynamic and engaged professional with extensive experience in community engagement, event coordination, and content creation. Currently serving as a Community Engagement Intern at the Los Angeles Times, Kayla organizes virtual discussions and develops outreach strategies to connect with diverse communities. As a Special Programs Development Coordinator for the UCLA Student Alumni Association, Kayla plans events to foster connections between students and alumni. Additional roles include podcast and news contribution for the Daily Bruin and serving as a Staff Writer for BruinLife Student Media. Kayla has a strong commitment to social advocacy demonstrated through founding Petticoats Rule, distributing menstrual hygiene products, and serving as an ambassador for The Pad Project. An alumna of Pacific Palisades Charter High School, Kayla is currently pursuing studies at UCLA with a focus on activism.
