Rita Zambelas is a globally recognized expert in the field of medical science liaison. Rita has over 12 years of experience in developing relationships with key opinion leaders, training clinical research staff, and overseeing clinical trials.

Rita began their career as an associate director at Amicus Therapeutics, where they quickly rose to the position of global director medical science liaison. In this role, they were responsible for supporting clinical operations, clinical development, and program management for external sites focused on Amicus clinical trials.

Under Rita's leadership, the Amicus clinical trial program achieved operational excellence, with a high level of compliance and adherence. Rita also developed and implemented successful internal training programs for clinical research staff.

In April 2020, Rita joined Alucio as an advisor. In this role, they are responsible for providing field-based operational resource for clinical/scientific information (both internal and external audiences). Rita is also responsible for engagement and strategy development to ensure compliance with Alucio's clinical trial program.

Rita Zambelas has a Masters of Science in Nursing from Duke University Graduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from NYU School of Nursing. Rita is certified in Clinical Research Management and Nursing Science and also has a certification in Public Health.
