David Purdie is currently an advisor at Alucio. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Clinical Development at Proteus Digital Health, Inc. from August 2018 to August 2020. In this role, they were responsible for recruiting and directing the generation of all medical and scientific evidence, as well as communication of evidence via publication, scientific presentations, and medical presentations. David was also accountable for clinical trial planning, execution, publication, and preparing clinical trial data and reports for regulatory submissions. Additionally, they oversaw the execution and publication of real-world data (RWD) studies, health economic and outcomes research studies. Purdie managed a budget of over $10 million and a team of 18 people across numerous teams, including Clinical Operations, Manager Care Liaisons, Medical Directors, Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Data Science, Medical Communications, and Drug Safety. David reported to the Chief Medical Officer and co-founder—collaborating with and influencing C-suite decision-making—ensuring corporate goals and investment opportunities are supported by clinical evidence.
Before their role at Proteus Digital Health, Inc., Purdie was the Senior Director of Quality of Care and Patient Access at Genentech from August 2005 to August 2018.
David Purdie's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Information Technology from The University of Queensland. David followed this with a Masters of Medical Science in Public Health from The University of Queensland, and then completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology from The University of Queensland.
