Pierre Perez is a Senior Embedded Software Developer Consultant at ALTEN since October 2019, specializing in the development of high-performance distributed data processing platforms in Java. Responsibilities include creating a custom task scheduler to enhance CPU usage, memory management, and data locality, as well as developing solutions for automated benchmarking, profiling, and tracing. Additional work involves optimizing numerical and geometric algorithms, automated deployment for on-premise and cloud infrastructures, and contributing to user interface development using Groovy DSL and Swing GUI. Pierre also leads initiatives to industrialize Python usage for R&D, developing modular libraries and establishing release, packaging, and DevOps processes while engaging in various machine learning projects focusing on computer vision, object detection, and anomaly detection. Prior to this role, Pierre worked as a Software Development Engineer at Groupe SII, where the focus was on developing software for resource-constrained autonomous embedded systems. Pierre holds a degree in Computer Science and Embedded System Electronics from Polytech Grenoble.
