Jason Burton is an experienced urban planning professional currently serving as the Growth Management Director for the City of Altamonte Springs since December 2022. Prior to this role, Jason held multiple positions in the City of Orlando from August 2004 to December 2022, including Assistant City Planning Division Manager and Chief City Planner, where responsibilities included supervising community planning efforts and acting as the Zoning Official. Earlier career experience includes roles such as Transportation Administrator for the City of San Jose and Development Specialist II with the San Jose Redevelopment Agency. Jason's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Regional Planning and Analysis from the University of California, Davis. Additionally, Jason served as Chair of the Orlando Metro Section of APA-Florida from July 2014 to September 2017.
